DENTAL COST PLANNING
Comparing an All-on-4 dental implant quote in China
The lowest headline price may not be the lowest total cost. Compare the clinical scope, restoration stages, travel schedule, and return-home follow-up before deciding whether an overseas full-arch plan is practical.
Start with the written plan you already have
Ask your current dentist for the diagnosis, proposed alternatives, recent imaging, and an itemized plan. A China provider needs enough information to explain whether it can offer a meaningful preliminary comparison. A licensed dentist must independently assess suitability after reviewing the records and, when required, examining you in person.
Confirm what “All-on-4” or “All-on-6” includes
- One arch or both arches, and the number of implants proposed for each.
- Extractions, periodontal treatment, bone grafting, sinus procedures, imaging, sedation, and medication.
- The implant system, components, and whether they can be serviced after you return home.
- A temporary prosthesis versus the final prosthesis, including material and laboratory fees.
- Adjustments, hygiene visits, written records, and any stated warranty limitations.
Count trips, not just procedure days
Some full-arch plans are staged. Ask whether treatment may require a consultation trip, surgical visit, healing period, final-restoration visit, or later adjustment. Include flights, accommodation, a companion, local transport, meals, missed work, and schedule flexibility in the comparison.
Plan follow-up before booking
- Which checks are expected before you leave China?
- When may you fly, and what symptoms require urgent review?
- Who will provide routine maintenance after you return?
- What happens if a temporary tooth, prosthetic component, or implant-related issue needs attention?
- Will you receive the implant passport, component details, imaging, operative notes, and aftercare instructions?
Use a like-for-like cost comparison
Place each quote in the same table: clinical scope, excluded items, number of trips, expected stay, temporary and final restorations, follow-up, payment schedule, cancellation terms, and contingency costs. Treat an estimate as provisional unless the provider clearly states its assumptions and exclusions.
Let us organize the comparison
Global Health Pilot provides non-clinical planning support for international patients exploring dental care pathways in China. We can help organize records and questions, coordinate communication, and structure a like-for-like comparison. We do not diagnose, select treatment, or guarantee outcomes.
